The stylish LUX* Belle Mare is a luxurious resort situated on the spectacular white sand beach at Belle Mare on the island's east coast. The hotel, the flagship property of LUX* Resorts, reopened in September 2014 having undergone a major refurbishment and now boasts Kelly Hoppen-designed interiors. The hotel is one of Just2Mauritius' hand-picked collection of Mauritius hotels.

Overlooking a beautiful turquoise lagoon, the hotel boasts one of the island's largest swimming pools, which also includes a separate children's section. The resort reflects a beach house feel with winding paths leading through the scent-filled tropical gardens to spacious accommodation These suites and villas are in typical thatched-roof villa-style buildings and decorated in a contemporary style with neutral tones and splashes of bright tropical colours. The resort has an excellent choice of four restaurants: MIXE, the main restaurant also includes a Teppanyaki corner, Beach Rouge with a laid-back fun and relaxing vibe for lunch and dinner, Duck Laundry for contemporary Chinese cuisine and Amari by Vineet - where Michelin-starred chef Vineet Bhatia presents delicious flavours of India.

The resort offers daily evening entertainment by Mauritian artists; it also features a huge range of land and water sports, most of which are complimentary, including water skiing, kayaks and windsurfing.
