'Mauritius Dream' Catamaran Cruise

8 day (7 night) Catamaran cruise
- departing and finishing at Port Louis

Day 1. Saturday. Port Louis – Mon Choisy (2hrs - 10 Nautical Miles)

Arrival in Mauritius and welcome on your catamaran at Caudan Waterfront in the capital situated in the West of the island. Boarding at 1pm for a briefing on safety and the program of the cruise. Then we head off for a 2 hour cruise towards the lagoon of Mon Choisy. The beautiful sandy beach shaded by filaos will welcome you for a first idyllic swim. You will admire the sunset with the Moka mountain range in the background. Dinner at anchorage.

Day 2. Sunday. Mon Choisy – Bain Boeuf (1hr 45min - 8 Nautical Miles)

After breakfast you will enjoy the magnificent lagoon of Mon Choisy while swimming, snorkelling and kayaking at leisure. The boat will begin its second passage for about one and a half hours towards Bain Boeuf at the end of the afternoon. For those opting for a day excursion you will have the opportunity to visit the Domaine de Labourdonnais Sugar Estate with its Plantation House and its beautiful gardens and old orchards. Then cruise towards the lagoon of Bain Boeuf.

Day 3. Monday. Bain Boeuf – Islands of the North – Grand Baie (2hrs - 12 Nautical Miles)

After breakfast the catamaran will take you around the islands of the North and the boat will drop anchor at the foot of the cliff of Coin de Mire for snorkelling. On this day you will have the opportunity to visit the Garden of Pamplemousses and the museum of sugar, discover the lush vegetation and exceptional flora of this oldest botanical garden of the southern hemisphere and gives you an understanding of the importance of culture of sugar canes for the history of the island of Mauritius. Next anchorage will be in famous Grand Baie after a navigation of about one hour. There you will enjoy the famous nightlife of this reputed beach resort. Dinner and overnight in Grand Baie.

Day 4. Tuesday. Grand Baie – Turtle Bay (1hr 30mins - 9 Nautical Miles)

In the morning the "Grand Bay Dream" passengers will disembark and the "Benitier Dream" clients will be welcomed on board for the remaining cruise. Before the catamaran leaves Grand Bay you will have the opportunity to discover the busy life and the great shopping of Grand Bay at your choice. After lunch the catamaran will sail towards Turtle Bay. You will spend the rest of the afternoon at your own leisure and be free to enjoy swimming and kayaking.

Day 5. Wednesday. Turtle Bay – Lagoon of Le Morne (4hrs - 21 Nautical Miles)

You will once more set sail for a four hour cruise to the lagoon of Le Morne, one of the most beautiful of the island. You will spend the afternoon in this beautiful spot and have the opportunity to visit Benitier islet with the tender boat. You will admire the sunset and pending clear weather conditions you will even have the chance to see the high summit of Reunion Island on the horizon.

Day 6. Thursday. Lagoon of Le Morne – Grand Riviere Noire (45mins -3 Nautical Miles)

After breakfast, the catamaran crew will take you discover this part of the west coast from the seaside with a short cruise to Grande Rivière Noir. The yacht will stop for a swim at La Préneuse or L’harmonie. On the optional excursion you visit Chamarel where you discover the magic of the coloured earths and from where you have a fantastic view of the lagoon and the visit of a rum distillery and get a delicious Lunch. Spend a peaceful night in the bay of Grand Rivière Noir protected from strong winds by the majestic mountains of the southwest. Dinner and night on board.

Day 7. Friday. Granf Riviere Noir – Baie de Goulet (4hrs 30mins – 20 Nautical Miles)

On our excursion today you may possibility see dolphins and may be lucky enough to swim with these beautiful creatures. For those choosing to stay on board you may go to the mythical beach of Tamarin or discover the mouth of the Rampart River by sea kayak. Returning back on board the catamaran set sail towards our last anchorage at Goulet for a last night on board.

Day 8. Saturday. Baie de Goulet – Port Louis

Early in the morning crew will hoist anchor for a last cruise towards Port Louis to the marina Caudan. Disembarkation at 8am after breakfast.
